Taking advantage of the beautiful spring weather, twelve realtors and NSW police officers took part in a charity bike ride around the Upper Hunter to raise money for Ronald McDonald House Charities.
On September 9, the cyclists rode for approximately 100kms. The journey started in Muswellbrook towards Denman before heading for Scone and around Glenbawn Dam and back towards Singleton.
The event has been running in Muswellbrook for the past five years and is organised by First National Real Estate. The ride would have had more participants, but due to COVID it was limited.
“It was a beautiful ride through the Hunter Valley… If you shut your eyes you could’ve been in the Tour De France,” says First National’s principle licensee Tony McTaggart.
Across the nation, the ride for sick kids raised $120,000 for Ronald McDonald House.
“I was set to ride but unfortunately I had a punctured tyre,” McTaggart adds.
