It is not even summer yet and storm season has made its presence well and truly known this week in the Hunter.
On Tuesday and Wednesday this week, at around the same time both days, the skies darkened and winds picked up.
The Upper Hunter seemed to cop the brunt of the front on Tuesday, with trees and power lines down as well as damage to rooves in Muswellbrook, Scone and Denman.
In the Muswellbrook Industrial Estate building supplies were sent flying over buildings and a fire was reported on Thomas Mitcheal Drive which crews attended to quickly.
One resident in Deman shared they recorded wind gusts of 98 kilometres per hour and power lines were brough down within the township, leaving residents in the dark for hours and in some cases overnight.
Cullingal Road in Merriwa was one of many blocked periodically by large trees coming down on the road, with local VRA and SES crews working into the night to secure damage.
Wednesday was an eerily similar event, with the skies beginning to darken around 2pm and strong winds picking up.
Kurri Kurri suffered the brunt of the damage based off initial reports, with numerous buildings having sections of their roof come off, including the Visitor Information Centre and businesses in Main Street.
