Former Scone Thoroughbred Zac Fulton made his NRL debut last month.

Fulton was described as a key member of the Thoroughbreds’ victorious under-18 team who upset the previously undefeated Singleton Greyhounds in the 2018 decider.

“To keep the momentum rolling for the club to achieved four premierships on that wonderful day,” Scone Thoroughbreds’ current under-18 coach Tom Hagan reflected.

Fulton is the grandson of rugby league immortal Bob Fulton, who passed away last year, and son of former Many Sea Eagle Scott.

“I got on the field and looked up to my grandfather, made three tackles and I was already blowing,” Zac said after the match.

“It was everything I could have dreamed of, and I did it for my family up on the coast and watching here.”

Though Manly faced a 20-10 defeat to the Roosters, his proud grandmother Anne Fulton also shared her thoughts.

“He did well above my expectations,” she concluded.

“His grandfather would be ecstatic; we knew he could do it and this is only the start.”
