The Muswellbrook Race Club is set to finish the year on a high.

A large crowd is expected to attend the iconic Tradies Day meeting on Friday, November 26.

And those in attendance are invited to compete in the showpiece 100m Tradies Dash.

“Come join us for the Last Race Day of the year,” incoming Muswellbrook Race Club manager Trevor Taylor said.

“We will be calling Tradies to come test their skills in the 100m Tradie Dash and win prizes.”

Last year, Muswellbrook Eagle Mitchell Shepherd was lost for words when winning the race.

Despite donning his long sleeve workwear in sweltering conditions, the round ball talent did enough to capture the title.

“I just, I mean, I don’t know what to say really,” an elated Shepherd told The Hunter River Times.

“I just want to thank DK for giving me the opportunity.”

Entrance fees are $10 and the gates open at 12pm.
