Preferred Provider Announced for Gummun Place Hostel

Council is pleased to announce that Jo Bailey Quality Care has been selected as the preferred provider to operate Gummun Place Hostel as a licensed assisted boarding house supported by home care services.

Following a comprehensive evaluation process, Jo Bailey Quality Care was identified as the organisation best positioned to deliver high-quality, supported accommodation services aligned with regulatory requirements and community needs.

A lease is expected to commence in the coming months, marking an important step toward reactivating Gummun Place Hostel and strengthening supported housing options in the community.

The future operation of Gummun Place Hostel as a licensed assisted boarding house will provide safe, stable accommodation for residents who require additional support in their daily lives. Jo Bailey Quality Care brings relevant experience and a service delivery model focused on resident wellbeing, independence, and dignity.

Council looks forward to working collaboratively with Jo Bailey Quality Care to ensure a smooth transition and successful establishment of services at the site. Further updates will be provided as the lease commencement date approaches.

Recently, members of the Gummun Place Committee and Councillors met with Jo Bailey to discuss the exciting future of Gummun Place and the positive opportunities the service will bring to the community.
